Join Akamai’s IoT Engineering Team as a Senior SDET!

The IoT Engineering team in Krakow is the biggest engineering team contributing to Akamai’s IoT products. Our customers include sophisticated, world-leading organisations across many industry verticals. We build software for automotive, logistics, transportation and gaming industries.

Partner with the best

You will be responsible for ensuring the readiness of the new features to go live, as well as for the already existing codebase state. You will detect any regressions that might have been introduced.

As a Senior SDET, you will be responsible for:

• Developing automation code (Java or Groovy) to cover any new and existing functionality
• Continuously running and maintaining the automation code on dedicated build systems
• Reporting issues that require a fix
• Performing on-demand, non-functional tests (user experience, performance, scalability)

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have solid experience in writing automation code (Java or Scala and/or Groovy)
• Be familiar with Linux/Unix and networking systems
• Have good knowledge of test automation frameworks and deploy/build tools (Jenkins)
• Have understanding of most of the following: TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, HTTP, HTML, and SSL protocols
• Present thorough understanding of distributed systems and/or virtual machine systems (Docker)

Recruitment Process (remote):

1. Initial phone screen with Weronika from Humeo (up to 30 min.).
2. Technical interview with 2 Principal SDETs from the team (about 1.5h – including live coding task).
3. Final interview with your potential manager (up to 1h).
